Why doesn’t Facebook have an EV cert?

When looking at the world’s most known websites, Facebook and Twitter are at the top of the list. They’re huge companies and everyone, everywhere knows who they are. They might even expect these companies to offer their users confirmation of their identity online, at least while logging in. This can be done by the presence of an EV cert.

 

 

Twitter has an EV cert but Facebook does not. Why is that?

Facebook, why don’t you verify your identity so your users know they’re logging in to your site and not a look-alike? It would help users avoid losing their passwords to fake websites, as advertised here:
